Is Circl free for members?
Always. Members never pay Circl to join or browse. If a host charges dues or sells event passes, that price is set by the host and shown clearly before you pay. When an event offers ticket tiers, your membership covers the base ticket and you only pay the difference for a higher tier.
What does it cost to host?
Nothing to start, and nothing to run. There's no monthly subscription and no per-member fee — you get every hosting tool for free. Circl only earns a small cut when you sell a paid membership or an event ticket.
When does Circl take a cut?
Only when money actually changes hands — on paid memberships and event tickets. Free Circls and free events never cost a thing. Payment-processing fees charged by our payment partners are separate and disclosed at checkout.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Create your Circl, invite people, and run events without entering a card. You only connect a payout account when you decide to start charging.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are handled case by case between you, the host, and Circl support. Platform fees are non-refundable except where required by law. The details are in our Terms of Service.
